Shomrim (שומרים)

Shomrim means “watchmen.” This section helps us monitor publicly available news reports for anti-Jewish themes, threats, and incidents.

The map and report feed show where news stories are geographically associated in the source data. Some reports are tied to a city or local area, while others may only be associated with a state, province, country, or broader national reference. For that reason, map points should not always be read as exact incident locations.

This feature is in Beta and currently uses data from the GDELT Project. It should be understood as a media-monitoring tool, not a verified incident database. Our goal is to help surface stories that may deserve attention, including some that may not receive broad mainstream coverage. We plan to integrate additional data sources over time.
